Kaituna Quarry Reserve, Lake Ellesmere
Apologies to those who didn't receive a postponement message for last week's picnic. We were sorry to have to cancel. The evening turned out lovely shortly afterwards.
We trying again for this coming Tuesday (28/2). Good news for those who couldn't make it last week. All arrangements (meet at Church Bay Services at 5:30 pm) are the same as for last week, except; there'll be no plan B this time. The weather forecast looks neither spectacular nor unsuitable for that night, however, if it turns sour again, we just stay home.

Additional directions:
The Ataahua Reserve (Kaituna Quarry) car park and landscaping were provided by the Hornby Rotary Club. The car park is accessed directly from State Highway 75. DOC has installed a toilet on the approach path between the Railtrail and the Kaituna car park.
